EPT San Remo, €5300 Main event day 1b
It was time for one of my favorite places, San Remo, beautifully located on the Italian Riviera. I arrivaed after a long days travel and I was very happy that I had my 3g modem.
Nearly 800 players started this tournament and we were 430 coming back for Day 2. The price pool is € 3,9 Mill.
with a min cash of €8K and €800K to the winner. This year’s field is said to be one of the toughest ever in EPT history, Sam Tricket, Antonio Esfandiari, Jason Mercier, Justin Bonomo, Liv Boree, Eugene Katchalov, just to mention a few. Some old familiar PKR names, Teodor “Goldeneye HD” Caraba, Genovesi “DonnieJackmala” Jackson and Andrew “Golfpro” Teng were also still in the tournament.
I was off to a real bad start losing more than half my starting stack early. I picked up JJ twice, AK twice and KK – and lost all! Can’t believe I didn’t bust early. After that I slowly tried to grind back. I won a couple of pots, one with AJ, hitting J on the flop, one big bluff with air and a big check raise semi bluff with a flush draw. After this I was finally back close to starting stack 29K when this wonderful hand came:
EP raised to 900. I called on the button with 99 and so did BB. The flop came 2s6s6s and EP contbet 1500. I 3bet to 3300 and BB went all in with 16K. EP folded and It would cost me another 12k. It felt like a draw, I called and hated to see 56 for flopped trips. No help on the turn and I was down to two outs…shit… the dealer burned a card and then dealt the miracle 9 on the river. I love poker… up to 51K, well above average.
The last hours my boyfriend Luca Moschitta was seated at my table…lol… but we didn’t clash in any big pot this time.
I won some smaller pots and ended up bagging 54K which was about average.
